ABOUT US
The National Security Congressional Staff Association (NSCSA) is an official bipartisan, bicameral congressional staff organization representing over 700 hundred members. Our mission is to foster deeper relationships between Hill staff to improve the national security policymaking process and to provide professional development opportunities for our members.
Increasing partisanship in Congress makes it more difficult for legislators to solve the nation’s most pressing challenges. While national security policy still remains one of the last bastions of bipartisanship, partisan fights even over measures like the NDAA have become the rule rather than the exception.
Given the important role congressional staff play in the legislative process, it is more important than ever that they have opportunities to grow professionally and foster stronger relationships with counterparts across the aisle, between chambers, in the Executive Branch, and across the national security policymaking establishment.
NSCSA serves as a forum to facilitate professional development and relationship building for its members. This will not only enhance their effectiveness, connectivity, and perspective, but also support policy outcomes that will best protect the nation.
Membership is open to all full-time congressional staff and fellows/detailees whose core portfolio includes national security policy.
